Safety cover questions
When should I order a cover?
Order late August to mid-September. Custom covers take 4–6 weeks from order to install, and by late October leaves can stain the pool surface.
What kinds of covers are there?
Mesh is the most common in North Carolina. Aqua-Xtreme mesh blocks sunlight while still draining. A solid cover blocks all sunlight and needs a pump to drain, and most professionals charge more to remove it.
Can you install on a stone or travertine deck?
Yes. We have equipment for all deck types, including stone and travertine.
What about automatic covers?
Keep the pool at the proper water level and let only a minimal amount of rainwater collect on the cover, so it opens and closes without restriction.
